Oliver Andreas Håkansson (born 1 February 1988) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He first came to prominence in 2009, after placing as the runner-up on season three of Swedish Idol. He also competed in Svensksong 1 with the song "Guitar".

Life and careerEdit

Early lifeEdit

Håkansson was born on 1 February 1988 in Skellefteå Municipality. He grew up in a musical family, with his parents Christian and Nora both being musicians. Through Nora, he is of partial Northern Sami descent. Håkansson has three older sisters, all of whom are musicians.

Håkansson completed compulsory education in 2004, and went on to attend a music school. He graduated from high school in 2007, and relocated to Stockholm to pursue a music career.

2009–2016: Breakthrough and Swedish IdolEdit

In 2009, Håkansson auditioned for season three of Swedish Idol in Stockholm. He eventually made it on to the show, and ended up placing as the runner-up, behind Nazanin. Following the show's finale, Håkansson was signed to Sony Music Sweden.

Håkansson released his debut single, "Arrows", in 2011. The song charted within the top forty in Sweden. His debut self-titled album was released the following year, and it peaked at number-two in his home country. After the album's success, he went on a nationwide tour.

2016–present: SvensksongEdit

In 2016, Håkansson was confirmed to be taking part in Svensksong 1, with the song "Guitar". He performed the song in the second semi-final, and advanced directly to the final. In the final, he placed eleventh.

Personal lifeEdit

Håkansson married Lisa Fjällström in 2014. They have one child together; Daniela Håkansson, born in 2016. The family resides in Stockholm.
