Georgia Eurosong 1

|Selected entrant||Elene Revazishvili|
Georgia will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest: Stockholm, with a song by Elene Revazishvili. The Georgian broadcaster Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) internally selected the artist and will select the song chosen for the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm through the national final, Georgia Eurosong 1.
In October, Georgian Public Broadcaster revealed that they'd be internally selecting their artist, and that they were undecided as for how they'll select the song. They also stated that they would not be receiving submissions from the public, but instead had shortlisted ten notable Georgian musicians. They later announced that on 17 December they'd announce their artist in a press conference held at the Georgian National Opera Theater.
On 17 December, it was announced that Elene Revazishvili had been internally selected to represent Georgia. It was also confirmed that her song would be selected through a national final to be held on 10 January.
Georgia Eurosong 1Edit
Georgia Eurosong 1 consisted of a one-night final. In the final, Revazishvili performed five different possible Eurovision songs. After all five were performed, a voting window was opened. At the close of the voting window, the results of the vote were revealed. Solely votes from the Georgian public selected the winner. The show was hosted by Tako Iashvili.
GPB opened the submissions window for interested composers from 17 December until 1 January. There were no restrictions on the nationalities of composers, but the broadcaster stressed that priority would be given to Georgian composers. The five songs were released on 8 January.
