Gemma is a Norwegian three-piece sibling band from Oslo. The group consists of drummer Geri, guitarist Monika, and vocalist Marianne Salomonsen. They competed in Norsksong 1 with the song "Winds of Change".


2013–present: Formation and NorsksongEdit

Geri, Monika, and Marianne Salomonsen were raised in the Frogner borough of Oslo. Their parents, Haakon and Julie, both worked as attorneys. They grew up musical, and all three attended music schools.

In 2013, the band was formed. Geri and Monika had graduated from music school and were working as professional musicians, while Marianne was still a student. They were signed to Universal Music Norway in 2016. In 2017, they were confirmed to be taking part in Norsksong 1, with the song "Winds of Change". However, they did not make it to the superfinal.
