Liisa Marja Lappalainen (born 18 July 1998), known professionally as simply Liisa, is a Finnish singer and songwriter. She competed in SuomenLaulu 1 with the song "Superhero".

Early life[]
Liisa was born on 18 July 1998 in the Viikki neighborhood of Helsinki. Her father is a police officer, while her mother works as a marriage and family therapist. She grew up with one older brother.
Liisa attended the International School of Helsinki, which she will graduate from in 2017. She began working as a professional musician in 2016, while 17 years old.
2016–present: SuomenLaulu[]
In 2016, she recorded the song "Superhero", and submitted it to SuomenLaulu 1, Finland's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. She ended up qualifying as a finalist, and placed fifth in the final, placing fifth in the jury vote and fourth with the public vote.
