Isak Wilhelm Waage (born 20 October 1985), better known by his stage name Ego Man, is a Norwegian producer, songwriter, and DJ. He competed in Norsksong 1 with the song "Stand Up", along with Samuel Burman.

Life and careerEdit

Early lifeEdit

Ego Man was born on 20 October 1985 in Os, Hordaland County. His father, William, worked in finance, while his mother, Kristin, was a housewife. He grew up with two older brothers.

Ego Man became interested in music production at a young age. After completing his compulsory education in 2002, he began attending a music school where he studied production, graduating in 2005. Following his graduation, he moved to Oslo, where he began working as a sound engineer and songwriter for Universal Music Norway.

2016–present: NorsksongEdit

In 2017, he was confirmed to be taking part in Norsksong 1, with the song "Stand Up", along with Samuel Burman. However, they did not qualify for the superfinal.

Personal lifeEdit

Ego Man resides in the Grünerløkka borough of Oslo. In 2015, he married Norwegian model Kristina Haakonsen. They have one child; Magnus, born in 2016.
